__________
Gustave Richelieu-Gustaffson, a pretentious and eccentric filmmaker, is directing his masterpiece -- a personal film about a gay man who is seduced by a female vixen. Gustave abuses his crew and confuses his actors in order to achieve an elusive performance from his lead actor -- a combination of crying and climaxing that he calls "bittersweet ecstasy". Gustave’s bizarre methods and interpersonal relationships get in the way of the work and, in the end, his actors inadvertently resort to unusual tactics to try to save the film.
